At Afro Innovation Group, we’ve always believed in putting people first. That means listening to our community, shaping our work around lived experiences and creating real, sustainable impact.
As we look ahead to the next chapter, we’re proud to share our Strategic Framework 2025 - a plan grounded in empathy, accountability and bold ambition.

This framework reflects our vision for a society where refugees, asylum seekers and migrants are treated with fairness, dignity and compassion. It’s a commitment to driving long-term change, not only by offering vital support, but by challenging the very systems that create inequality.

Drive Systemic Change Through Advocacy
We’ve seen first-hand how harmful policies affect our service users. That’s why advocacy is at the heart of our approach. Whether it's challenging unjust immigration decisions, calling for better access to housing or standing up to racism; we will amplify community voices, influence policy and build a fairer system for all.
Secure a Community Anchor in Leicester
We’re working toward acquiring a permanent space that will serve as a warm, welcoming hub. A place where people can access holistic services - employment advice, mental health support, legal advocacy - and build meaningful connections with others.
Invest in People and Culture
From staff and volunteers to service users and apprentices, we’re investing in leadership, wellbeing and career development. We believe that nurturing skills and confidence builds strong individuals and stronger communities.
Strengthen Partnerships and Global Solidarity
We’re expanding partnerships not just locally, but with organisations across the Global South. This includes supporting migrant-led projects, sharing knowledge and aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. We know that global challenges need locally rooted, globally connected solutions.
Build a Sustainable and Resilient Organisation
To continue this work, we’re focused on diversifying our income, improving governance and embedding innovation into all areas of the organisation. Resilience means being ready to meet new challenges and seizing new opportunities with clarity and confidence.
