For more than two decades, Afro Innovation Group (AIG) has worked with communities experiencing displacement, inequality and marginalisation. Although our roots are in Leicester, our partnerships have long extended across borders, connecting us with grassroots organisations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and beyond.
We are proud to announce the launch of the AIG International website, a dedicated platform showcasing the depth and impact of our global work.

Why a new platform?
Our international partnerships have grown significantly in recent years. We now collaborate with over 30 community-based organisations worldwide, supporting programmes focused on:
Women’s empowerment and protection
Livelihoods and skills development
Health equality and community wellbeing
Peacebuilding and resilience
Climate adaptation and food security
Rights-based advocacy and local governance
The new website allows us to bring these efforts together in one place, highlighting the community leadership behind every project and the lived experiences driving change.
A Spotlight on AIG-DRC
A major part of the platform is dedicated to the AIG-DRC Network, a multi-stakeholder consortium of 20+ Congolese organisations working across more than a dozen provinces. Their work, from cooperative development and climate action to women’s rights and youth livelihoods, now has a clear home where partners, funders and communities can stay informed and get involved.
A platform built for accessibility and partnership
The site features:
Programme overviews
Member profiles
Impact case studies
Opportunities for collaboration
A dedicated “Join Us” section for organisations in the DRC
News, updates and international stories
Clear routes for supporters to donate or partner with us
The goal is simple: to strengthen international cooperation and champion locally led solutions.
