Afro Heritage Project

Celebrating African migration stories in Leicester (since the 1940s)

The Afro Heritage Project, led by Afro Innovation Group (AIG), preserves and celebrates the migration journeys, culture, and contributions of African communities in Leicester. We collect oral histories, co-create exhibitions and events, and build a living archive for schools, researchers, and the wider public.
