Afro Innovation Group (AIG) is pleased to announce the launch of our new Community Vaccination Awareness & Support project in partnership with Patient Care Locally (PCL) and Leicester City Council Public Health.
This project will support refugee, asylum seeker and migrant families living in Highfields and Hamilton by providing trusted health information, practical guidance and support accessing NHS services.

We understand that many people face barriers when trying to navigate healthcare systems, understand vaccination information or identify trustworthy health advice online. Through this project, we aim to create safe and welcoming community spaces where people can ask questions, access reliable information and receive culturally sensitive support.
The project will include:
Community awareness sessions
One-to-one guidance and support
Help understanding NHS services and letters
Translation and interpretation support
Information on vaccinations, family health and wellbeing
Guidance on identifying misinformation online
Sessions will take place in local community venues, libraries and accessible spaces across Highfields and Hamilton.
We also have multilingual materials available to support communities and families.
Information is available in:
English | Somali | Arabic | French | Tigrinya | Urdu | Kurdish | Gujarati | Swahili | Persian
If you would like copies shared with your community, organisation or network, please email us and we would be happy to provide them.
Further details, including confirmed dates and locations, will be shared soon through our website and social media platforms.
